Julia's Graduation

So Arpee and I went to CSUMB (California State University Monterey Bay). I don't know if you are familiar with it (I am only because I was raised in nearby Salinas) but it is a pretty new university that now occupies part of the former Fort Ord which closed in 1995. My younger sister Julia is graduating and did her capstone today. Her major is language with an emphasis on Japaneses. The best I can derive that means she's taking a million Japanese classes and one Mayan class. Her capstone went great, I don't know Japanese which is what she delivered it in but her powerpoint was in English and I followed along great with that. You could also tell by her delivery that she overcame her jitters very quickly into it. I was really proud of her even though it's hard to see her as an (almost) adult.
After that she choose to stick around for a couple of her friends presentations. Arpee and I choose to wonder around. We found some old boarded up barracks and we decided to look around and see if we could see inside. Sure enough we found a couple ways in. We didn't go in far for fear of dying because it was condemned and for fear of being grossed out (condemned building on college campus). We looked around a little and then split. We then went to this science building. We choose that one because it was one of the tallest. We went to the top floor which has a pretty cool ocean view from there. It was good times.
Right now I'm hanging out in my old house in Salinas. Pretty soon I think were going to be playing Settlers of Catan.
